Fun fun fun

We spent the evening with the Forringers. I took over lasagna and pumpkin pie and we had dinner at their house. It works out well - I do the cooking and she does the cleaning. My favorite division of duties!! :)

Afterwards we went together to the Highlights Fall Festival that Longview Christian Church puts on every year. It was a lot of fun! There was so much to do there was no way to get to it all! We hit the highlights (no pun intended at first. lol) of the festivities, like the cookie decorating, pony rides and LIMBO.... you've gotta check out the pic Tom got of me ATTEMPTING this. Mind you, I'd already done it three times without incident. :)

There's a link to the pictures up top on the right. Ok, I've got a very early morning tomorrow... yawn... I'm going to bed!

Chandler the TV star!

I forgot to link this when it happened, but a few weeks ago Chandler was with some friends for the library's storytime. The news crew was there and he was on the 10 o'clock news that night. :) If you go to this link and go down to "Fire Safety" Longview Public LIbrary storytime - just click on that to see the whole video. Keep an eye out for Uriah, Isabel, Sam, Micah, Josiah, Amara and Zachary too! :)

Edit: The link was taken down today and I'm not sure how to get to it now. I'll let you know if I find it, Pam.

Pumpkin Patch Adventure

We had a great time yesterday! First we had Taylor's game and they won!! I'm upset that I didn't get any pictures... when I got there I realized that the batteries were dead) Anyways, that brings their stats up to 6-2, I believe. Sweet!

After a quick stop home, we headed to Moore Farms' pumpkin patch. It was so neat! We decided to make this a fall family tradition. :) The kids had a blast feeding the animals, going on the hayride, picking out their pumpkins and various other things. On the way home we stopped in Tyler for lunch at Braums. It was a very full day, but it was awesome to have the whole entire day to be together and have fun as a family.

Oh yeah, over there on the right is the link to the many pictures of the day.

Making pumpkin pies

The kids got in on the action of making the first pumpkin pies of the season a few days ago. It was lots of fun! Afterwards they made their own "crust creations" with leftover pie crust dough. :)

Soccer tournament

This was a Saturday before last, but I just haven't gotten to post so the picture have just been sitting here. Taylor's team had three games in one day for the tournament. They did really well! The didn't lose at all... they won two and tied one. They all got a trophy. It was an exciting day! Great job, Firecrackers!

Gushing

I'm so full right now, I just had to pour out a little of my joy onto the pages of my blog. I hardly ever get time to post about feelings and thoughts (though I have sooooo many!!) but this is just too big of an emotion to keep to myself.

Tonight was the girls night out that Stephanie put together. There were 11 of us, mostly from my church and one lovely lady who is my neighbor and dear friend. We went out for dinner and then to this great movie. In all, 6 hours of unbridled fun and laughter. (even while waiting 2 hours for a table and during the movie. hehe) I made new friends and formed new bonds with old friends too. It was the blast to end all blasts. :) I didn't want the night to end!!

This is something that I desperately needed in my life, time to step back and breathe... and realize that it's ok to laugh again. It was so awesome to share in this time and just bask in the kinship of my dear sisters in Christ. I'm filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude to God for placing these women in my life. I have so many friends! And the number is only growing. My cup truly runs over!

Happy Birthday, Rebekah!

Taylor's teammate, Rebekah had her birthday party today at the putt putt/arcade. (That's her and her little sister) Taylor had a blast with all of her friends. I asked her if she wanted me to pick her up later, wondering if she'd reached that "I'm with my friends, leave me alone" stage. It blessed me so much to hear her say, "Oh mommy, I want you to stay with me and have fun too!" She's just the sweetest daughter anyone could ask for. :) I love you, Taylor.

Notice the soccer cake. Cute, huh?

Another win!

Taylor's team won their game today! It was a great game. Very close match up. The game was early so it was pretty nippy outside. The boys weren't enjoying the cold much. It's been so warm lately, I didn't even think to bring their jackets.

Bronwyn came with us and she and Taylor had a great time together. (Chandler enjoyed being tickled too. :) ) They've missed each other so much since the Crowe's have been gone. After the game, we ran to walmart and they got to pick out a birthday present for Rebekah together. That was interesting to watch. Girls are so indecisive! :)

Soccer moms and dads on the sidelines. It just occurred to me the other day driving into the parking lot of the practice field that I'm a soccer mom now. How cool is that!? :)

Taylor on defense. She had an AWESOME game today. Everything was just clicking for her.

I just can't figure out when posting multiple pictures straight from picasa how to format the text around the pictures. It just won't work and it's driving me crazy!
