Seems so long ago!

I found this pic just now - such an itty bity dude!! I just want to squeeze him back into that size. I had myself almost in tears the other day in the floor with my kids, pleading with them to stop growing and stay just exactly like they are now. Chandler said he couldn't stop growing, "Mommy, I have to be five!!" :) These young days are just flying by! I'm so blessed to be able to be with them all the time to savor each moment.

Bunches

Lots of pics. My software for the camera was messed up (something different this time!) and I just was able to upload about three weeks worth of pics onto the pc over the weekend. Posting to the blog never happened because we've just been so darn busy. Two soccer games on Sat - both kids won their games! - Tom left for his business trip on Sunday morning (sniff... I miss him so much.) and lifegroup was at our house Sunday night so I spent a better part of Sunday afternoon cleaning bathrooms and mopping floors. :)

Today Steff and Jess came over for lunch and to watch Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It was a cute girlfriend movie. We have our own sisterhood and it was fun to watch together. The kids had a blast together as usual.

Jess left after a Starbucks run (You ROCK Jess!) and Stephanie stuck around to help organize my kitchen! Woo hoo! (You REALLY ROCK Steff!!) We had dinner together and they just left a little bit ago. Now my kids are in bed and the house is actually quiet.... it's weird. :)

The pics are a little out of order, I wanted to have the Easter ones at the top. :) G'night!

Taken at Tom's parent's house in Gladewater.

At our house before church.

Chris took this one before we were ready, but we liked this one the best - it's the real us, silly faces and all. :)

Brothers

I LOVE that the boys are so close. They love each other so much and it's so evident in the way they interact.

Of course Taylor and Chandler are especially close too. The other day, Taylor was climbing the tree and said something to Chandler about that she might fall. Chandler said pitifully, "But you can't fall! You'll die and I need a Sissy!!" :) Sweet kids.

ELO things

P.E. in the gym

One of my 1st graders, we did a Dr. Seuss unit and made "Cat in the Hat" hat cookies. :)

The last day we had a drug dog and his trainer come and demonstrate what they have to do in schools. It was neat to learn how they train the dogs.

Miss Piper deciding that Chandler's ice cream now belongs to her! And Chandler's not very happy about it. :)

Taylor's States Class

For her United States class in ELO, Taylor had to prepare a poster report on California. She did such a good job! I helped with the design, but she did all the research, cutting and pasting. She's very proud of it. :)

Giving the report in class.

Mrs. Nelson is her teacher.

Some of the other posters by other students.

Egg hunt

Easter 2007

Getting ready for Easter

We did the baskets a little differently this year. Our kids have always known that the baskets, eggs and candy are from us. I had gone last minute to Target and Walmart to get all the stuff - thus explaining the lame spiderman and princess eggs, that's all that were left! - anyways, I was all wound up about surprising the kids and getting the baskets all put together for them, then I realised how silly that was. I gathered it all up in the floor and the kids helped me fill all the eggs and they just got their little toys and stuff early. They loved it and I didn't have to do it all myself or worry about them peeking. :) Being laid back relieves so much stress... why can't we moms be laid back more often??? :)
Brayden wanted to put all the candy in his basket instead of the eggs. He was very pleased with himself. :)

Trip to the zoo

Today was our first trip ever to the Caldwell Zoo. My friend Heather was taking her niece Jasmine and she stopped by spur of the moment so we could go as well. Taylor is with Nikki today so she can be with us on Easter, so it was just the boys and me.

Caldwell Zoo

The zoo was great! Chandler was so funny and smart with the map, he couldn't wait to get to the snakes and alligators so he'd tell us where we were every few minutes and what was coming up and tell us where we needed to go to get to the snake house. He was amazing how he could read the map so well. At one point we were headed to the snack place and he peered at the map and said "Oh good, there's bathrooms at the eating place; I need to go!!" It was really funny. :)

Chuck E. Cheese

Conlan was with Jessica today - on Wednesday's we have ELO and it's so much easier if I have one less baby. :) I'd been wanting to take the kids to ChuckE. Cheese for lunch, but it never seemed like a good idea with 5 kids alone. :) Anyway today with only 4 kids was much more doable. :)
