Memorial Day Cookout!

We threw an impromptu party tonight with several of our friends. We cooked hamburgers and corn on the grill, baked beans and had brownies and ice cream. Yum! But the best part were the games! I'm telling you, we've gotta make this a regular thing guys! We played Pit and Hilarium... two very LOUD, hilarious games. Seeing as I also helped lead worship today, I've almost completely lost my voice. It was was worth it though. Dana and Tom got some hilarious pictures. Enjoy!

I love Craigslist!

If we had a weeks worth of vacation time, I would SO be all over this!

"Our beautiful 3br 3bath home with gardens, hot tub and view of the Rockies from upstairs rooms--for your home in Longview or nearby area in mid-June (for about a week). If you are interested, please email and we can exchange pictures (and references). We will be in TX for a family birthday party so dates would need to include June 20th, please. "

Movie night

Saturday night we watched a movie with the boys and you can see here who had a nap and who didn't. :) Brayden decided to just make himself comfortable right on top of a sleeping Chandler. :)

Shrek the Third

I surprised the kids with a special lunch and a movie outing on Friday. Hopefully this is the last Shrek installment. I can't take much more... :-P

Girls' afternoon.... er, evening out... :)

What started as a pedi at 3:00 turned into a whole night of eating and hanging out with my girls. We went to Johnny Carino's after getting our feet done -- we were cheap and went to the beauty school... I think the unanimous decision after that was spend the extra 4 bucks to have it done right. lol -- then after yummy dinner, it was on to Dana's to check out her new pad. Loved it! We had dessert at The Butcher Shop and made a Kmart run 5 min before they closed. :) It was great fun - I'm so thankful for my friends. And a wonderful hubby who makes girls' nights possible! I love you, Honey! :)

I have such a wonderful family!

I'm so blessed - I had the best Mother's Day! My family stayed up late Saturday night after the party to make this huge sign - I was banished from the room, but I made sure Tom took pictures. :) It was so awesome, with all of their hand prints in glitter paint -- even Lola's little paw was there. :)

Then Sunday morning I was treated to blueberry pancakes, bacon and eggs in bed! It's my all time favorite breakfast! When I got up, there was a beautifully wrapped present and card and the sign all waiting for me. (Tom always picks the best gift bags!) I got a gorgeous smelling candle and lots of chocolates! Mmmmm. I'd told them I didn't need anything, my new van was all the Mom's day present I needed! But the kids always like picking a little something out for us on our days.

After church, Tom made his famous melt in your mouth steak -- THANK YOU ALTON BROWN! -- and scalloped potatoes and peas. What a spread! Not to mention the Red Velvet cake they all made for dessert! Red velvet is my all time favorite cake cake. My first favorite, cheesecake, isn't actually cake. :)

I had such a GREAT Mother's day. I'm so grateful for my loving and thoughtful husband and kids. I have the perfect family - thank you, Lord!

Party time

Our friends from church and lifegroup, Stephanie and Dave (the two on the right) are moving to Illinois! :( Saturday night our lifegroup had a going away party for them here at our house - taco bar and lots of games. It was really fun!

Here's Dave doing great at Guesstures

Tom's planting something, I think... :)

Taylor's news

Let's see -- several things. Taylor's soccer team the Firecrackers, were undefeated the whole season!! They were the division champions!! That's her trophy she got at the team party. My batteries were dead at the party, but the coach's wife is supposed to email me the ones she took, so hopefully I'll have some of that soon.

Also, in the spelling bee this year she won Second place! And she was up against 3rd graders. She did a GREAT job! We're so proud of or little spelling whiz. :) I have pictures on the other camera, but the cable is mia, so those will be coming soon too. :)

Vanessa's Graduation

My sister Vanessa graduated from Oklahoma Weslyan University on Saturday. I am SO proud of her! Congrats Ness!

We filled up a large section of the chapel with our family and friends. :)

The four oldest girls. Best friends forever.

Forgotten pictures

While Tom was out of town, Taylor went to a friend's house and the boys had friends over for their first sleep over. It was so much fun. The kids' moms are my best friends, so it was GREAT for us too. We stayed up until 2 talking, laughing and organizing my closet! hehe. Thanks guys! :)

To welcome Daddy home properly, we made a banner to hang in the dining room. We missed him so much and were very happy to have him home!! :)
