Life with 5 kids :)
Loading up takes a good 15 minutes.
The scene at the mall where we had lunch today. I got several weird looks but only one lady said something. She said she wanted to bless me if they were all mine... I said, no they're not, but I'll take the blessings anyways!! :)

Waffle night
There was a silent auction at the tea party and Taylor had the winning bid for a Cinderella waffle iron! :) We stopped at the store on the way home for syrup just so we could have princess waffles for dinner. ;) It was really fun - the kids LOVED family Cinderella waffle night! :) It'll be really fun in the future for slumber parties with her friends.

Girls' day out
Sunday afternoon Taylor and I had a girls' day out together, just the two of us. We got all dressed up for the Tyler Ballet's annual tea party. Taylor wore her Easter dress and she looked just gorgeous. :)

Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! After months of being totally screwed as far as posting pictures goes -- I finally figured out the problem and now all of my new pictures are going into picasa again! Picasa totally spoiled me and when it wasn't working, I didn't even attempt to blog. :) So get ready for a backlog of pictures and news... not really news news since most of you know what's going on with us, but I'm going to try to get it down for the record anyways. :)
Glad to be back to the world of blogging. :)

Last Thursday was a rare day off with Tom - we grabbed McAllisters and went to the park. It was a beautiful day. Lola even got in on the fun. :)

Carnival time!
Carnival time! |
The carnival was in town and couldn't be missed. :) We went at night this time - last time we went during the day on Saturday - and after seeing both, daytime is much preferred. :) It was much more crowded this time .... with foul mouthed, cigarette smoking teenagers to boot. :-/
But the kids seem oblivious to these bothersome things and had a great time. Tom was ready to go after the first tickets were gone, but the older kids and I were still raring to go, so he took Brayden home to bed. We ate more junk and rode lots more dizzying rides. :) Chandler even rode the spider/octopus ride. That one is a little intense for Taylor but Chandler didn't even blink. He loved it. :) I got some shots ON that ride, which was hard to do and quite terrifying when I remembered afterwards I'd been risking our brand new canon eos! :) (Tom, you didn't just read that) lol

Lake weather??
It's almost that time. It was pretty darn hot last Saturday. Tom was gone to a friends house, Taylor was with Nikki and the boys and I were way bored. I grabbed my lounge chair and the sand toys and we headed to the lake. I didn't expect them to actually swim but they did and loved it. The water was very cold, but in the shallow part it was easy to get used to. I got a head start on my tan too. :) Fun day.

Homescool group stuff
These are pictures from ELO - the weekly classes that our homeschool group does together - and of our field trip we had at the library. We toured the library and then had a private storytime and craft.
CHEC stuff |
ELO is so weird for me. The kids all have their own classes and I teach the 1st graders. I get antsy about the kids being away from me... I'm not crazy, I'm just not used to it. :) I feel like at least Brayden should still need to be with me. :) During my break I'm like a stalker peeking in on the kids and taking pictures.... it's a funny/sad feeling knowing that even my youngest is perfectly fine without me. I need a new baby. ;) JUST KIDDING!

Winter Jam
Winter Jam concert |
Tom and I had a date night a few weeks ago and we went to see the Winter Jam concert in Tyler. It was great. We're big time Sanctus Real fans now. :)

Aren't they cute???
These are some treats I made for my 1st grade class at ELO. We were talking about the signs of spring coming. It was a very fun unit. :)

Taylor's first game this season
They've had three and won every one so far! Her team is really exceptional. They're one of the very best if not the best of her age in the league

Afternoon at the park
Afternoon at the park |
The weather has been GORGEOUS here and a few weeks ago we met up with Marissa and Lisolotte, our friends from Holland and Jessica and her girls for lunch at Kidsview. It was PERFECT picnic weather. :)
